Joel Embiid has been a punchline for the basketball world for the past two years, and now he's ready to turn the tables.
The third overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft isn't just satisfied with finally getting on to the court, he's looking to make a big impact for the 76ers this season.
"I feel like I’m the best player on the floor," he said via Philly.com at the start of his team's training camp on Tuesday. "So I’m just going to do my job on the floor. I’m just going to do what coach [Brett Brown] wants me to do: Be a defensive piece, and when I’m needed to be a scorer, I’m going to be that.
