Joe Paterno made aware of Jerry Sandusky abuse in 1971, accuser says

A man claiming to be a sexual abuse victim of Jerry Sandusky said he made late Penn State football coach Joe Paterno aware of the former assistant coach's behavior in 1971.

According to a report from CNN, the man said Paterno brushed him off.

The man, now 60, said he was a troubled 15-year-old kid living in State College, Pa., when Sandusky, then a 27-year-old, second-year linebackers coach, sexually abused him in a Penn State bathroom after he picked him up hitchhiking.
