Joe Mauer says concussions suffered two years ago have had an impact on his hitting ever since.
In an interview with the Saint Paul Pioneer-Press, the Twins' star says he suffered blurred vision as a result of head trauma from his days behind the plate. The report pointed to two significant blows from foul tips in August 2013.

"I don’t want that to be kind of an excuse. If I’m out there, I’m out there. That’s just the way I am,” Mauer told the newspaper.
