Jimmy Clausen Named Ravens Starting QB vs. Seahawks: Latest Details and Reaction

The Baltimore Ravens named Jimmy Clausen the team's starting quarterback against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com.

Bryn Renner was promoted from the practice squad and will serve as the backup quarterback.

Clausen, 28, is starting for the injured Matt Schaub, who is out due to a chest injury. Baltimore's incumbent starter, Joe Flacco, was lost earlier in the year to a torn ACL.

"Jimmy is smart," head coach John Harbaugh said, via Hensley. "He has been in this basic system before. He knows how to handle himself.
