Jim Thorpe's family: His 'spirit isn't rested' while body is buried in Pennsylvania

In a legal battle that has been going on since 2010, Jim Thorpe's children want their father's grave moved from Pennsylvania to his native Oklahoma.

Thorpe's widow and third wife, Patricia, was upset the state of Oklahoma wouldn't erect a monument to Thorpe near his hometown of Prague after his death in 1953, so she accepted a financial offer from the town of Mauch Chunk, Pa., to move his remains there and erect a monument over his grave. The town then renamed itself Jim Thorpe in 1954 once the tomb was in place.

Because Thorpe is one of the most revered Native American athletes to ever live, his remaining living sons want his remains returned to Oklahoma.
