New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas' long-term future with the team is reportedly still uncertain even as the club eyes a playoff run in 2024.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Douglas is entering the final year of his contract and called him "a rare GM who did not sign an extension prior to his deal expiring."
However, Rapoport added that "all sides are comfortable with the position."
It does dial up the pressure a bit for a team that has not reached the postseason since the 2010 campaign and is coming off back-to-back 7-10 seasons.
