The New York Jets retained The 33rd Team to support the organization through a search for a new head coach and general manager, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Per Schefter, former Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum and former Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman will help lead the project. The 33rd Team will provide "data analysis and experience" to New York throughout the hiring process.

The Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh on Oct. 8 before dismissing general manager Joe Douglas on Tuesday.
