The New York Jets have a new face in the quarterback room in former Florida State signal-caller Jordan Travis, a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
Travis likely won't see the field much—if at all—in 2024, but one Jets insider believes that is part of New York's plan for him. According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, Travis was picked as a long-term project rather than a locked-in quarterback of the future.
Cimini noted that while Travis has thought about being Rodgers' successor, it's too early to give him that title.
"Travis is not expected to play in 2024," Cimini wrote.
