Minutes after free-agent offensive guard Brandon Brooks bolted for the Philadelphia Eagles, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Houston Texans made a big splash by agreeing to a long-term deal with Jeff Allen, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fox Sports' Mike Garafolo first broke the news and reported Allen has agreed to terms on a four-year, $28 million deal with the Texans that will pay him $14 million in the first year.
