The Boston Celtics may not have had any cookies and cream on hand for their road tilt against the Portland Trail Blazers this Sunday (March 23) evening, but the absences of Kristaps Porzingis and Jaylen Brown were not especially onerous for the Celtics. Powered by a game-high 30 points from star Boston forward Jayson Tatum, the Celtics won their fifth game in a row at Moda Center against a Trail Blazers squad that has taken out some very good teams in recent days.
Portland kept it close for the first quarter, but as the first frame, the Celtics began to pull away, and remained on top from the mid-point of the second quarter onward to win 129-116.
