On Thursday night, the New York Giants decided to trade up and grab a second pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft. Their goal was to bring in their future franchise quarterback.
The quarterback position for 2025 has already been filled by Russell Wilson, but he's on a one-year contract and is near the end of his career, so general manager Joe Schoen got aggressive and traded with the Houston Texans to obtain the 25th overall pick in the draft.
With that pick, the Giants selected Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart, whose draft status climbed over the last few weeks.
