Jason Pierre-Paul Visits Giants Two Months After Injury

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — About two months after a Fourth of July fireworks accident cost him his right index finger, Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul flew to the New York area on Monday to meet with the team’s medical personnel. It was the first time the Giants had seen the damage to Pierre-Paul’s hand.

The Giants then began deliberations about when Pierre-Paul might be able to play, how to work out the financial details of a new contract and what kind of protection Pierre-Paul will use on his still recovering right hand, according to people familiar with the situation who requested anonymity because they were not allowed to speak publicly on the matter.
