Jason Day has joined fellow golfers Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott in deciding to not compete at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
In a statement released Tuesday, Day explicitly stated concerns over the Zika virus as his reason for not competing at the Games. The world No. 1 from Australia wants to put the safety of his family above the honor of playing for a medal.
