Jarryd Hayne's Rio dream should die because NFL is 'PED badlands,' ex-doping official says

Niner-turned-Olympic hopeful Jarryd Hayne's dream of competing for Fiji's rugby sevens in Rio has been turned into a political football by at least one anti-doping advocate.

Hayne is inside the six-month window in which Olympic athletes typically must be in a registered drug-testing protocol ahead of competition, Richard Ings, the former head of the Australian Sports Doping Authority, pointed out.

Worse, Ings tweeted Sunday, the "NFL is PED badlands," the result being there should be "no chance" of Hayne getting a reduction of the required six months in the registered testing pool.
