James Jones is used to the situation he'll enter with Chargers

After losing wide receiver Stevie Johnson for an indefinite period with a torn meniscus, San Diego has found a veteran replacement.

The Chargers are signing former Packers receiver James Jones after working him out Tuesday, along with two other receivers, according to NFL Media. Also visiting San Diego were former Dolphins and Browns receiver Brian Hartline and former Lions wideout Lance Moore, but the Chargers settled on Jones.

The 32-year-old receiver from San Jose State had a resurgence last season when he rejoined the Packers and caught 50 passes for 890 yards and eight touchdowns.
