2024 was a breakout season for USC wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane. After seeing limited action as a freshman in 2023, Lane broke out this past season, emerging as the team’s go-to red zone option. His 12 receiving touchdowns were more than double that of any other Trojan, while his 525 receiving yards were good for second on the team.
Now, Lane enters 2025 as one of the go-to guys in USC’s receiver room. And he has embraced the role, trying to step up as more of a leader both on and off the field.Following Thursday’s practice, head coach Lincoln Riley discussed Lane’s emergence as a leader in the wide receiver room this spring.
