Jaguars' Earl Wolff recalls terrifying kidnapping, armed robbery

Earl Wolff should have spent the offseason focusing on rehabbing his knee. Instead, he also was robbed and kidnapped at gunpoint.

The safety, who was signed to the Jaguars' squad in December, was in Fayetteville, N.C., visiting his mother. He said he left a friend's house around 1 a.m. on Feb. 23 when armed and masked men swarmed him and put a gun to his head.

“All I could think about was my family,” Wolff told The Florida Times-Union. “I kept saying, ‘Take whatever you want as long as you don’t hurt my family.’”

According to Wolff, he handed over his wallet, keys and phone to the four kidnappers, but they wanted more.
