Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was fined $18,231 by the NFL on Friday for unnecessary roughness against New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in his team's 34-16 AFC Divisional Round loss last Saturday, according to the Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson and Fox 26's Mark Berman.
While Clowney hit Brady on several occasions, the hit that drew the financial slap on the wrist from the league office came early in the fourth quarter when he was flagged for roughing the passer, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
