Jackson State basketball loses to Alabama State in SWAC final, NCAA tournament drought continues

Jackson State men's basketball came ever so close to ending its drought in the NCAA tournament.

The No. 2-seeded Tigers (16-18) fell to No. 5 seed Alabama State 60-56 Saturday in the SWAC tournament championship at Gateway Center in College Park, Georgia. Alabama State (19-15) will represent the SWAC in the NCAA tournament.

JSU was aiming for its first SWAC title and NCAA tournament appearance since 2007.
