Jacks cruise to St. Cloud Tournament title in 4 straight-set wins

ST. CLOUD – Not much is getting in the way of the Bemidji High School boys volleyball team right now.

The Lumberjacks went 4-0 at the St. Cloud Tournament on Saturday, including a 2-0 win over Prior Lake to win the tournament championship.

BHS beat New Prague 25-22 and 30-28 in its first match before beating Twin Cities Academy/Great River 25-22 and 25-23. The Jacks handled Minneapolis-Edison 25-12 and 25-14 before beating the Lakers 25-22 and 25-16 in the title match.

Reed Johnson had 42 kills for a .432 hitting percentage to go along with his 10 aces and 20 digs in the tournament.
