Before Herb Brooks, there was Jack Riley.
Riley, who died Wednesday in Medford, Mass., at age 95, coached the 1960 U.S. Men's Hockey Team to Olympic gold, upsetting the mighty Soviet Union in Squaw Valley, Calif.

Team USA wouldn't win Olympic gold until 20 years later, when Brooks coached America's "Miracle on Ice" team at Lake Placid, N.
