Alexis Sanchez spoke to the Chilean press on Wednesday in a Santiago hotel while promoting a range of shaving products. It was one of those low-intensity events where a few softball questions could be lobbed at the player and a few soundbites banked.
It helped that Sanchez had scored twice the night before – in Chile's 3-1 World Cup qualification victory against Uruguay at the Estadio Nacional – and moved within two goals of Marcelo Salas's all-time scoring record.
Alexis spoke of the honor of having moved past Ivan Zamorano into second place on the all-time ranking and described his ambition of catching El Matador ahead of him.
