Brian Vickers will drive the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet for the Daytona 500 and other Speedweeks events, the team made official on Friday.
Vickers' first action will come in Saturday's Sprint Unlimited. The non-points race covers 75 laps and is the first stock car competition of 2016 at Daytona International Speedway.

Vickers had to be cleared by NASCAR to drive because of a medical condition.
Vickers, 32, has three wins in 13 seasons in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, but drove in only two races last season as he dealt with blood clots.
