Justin Jefferson recently got a glimpse into what could become a reality with his new quarterback.
After a fan asked Jefferson to substitute J.J. McCarthy into his Madden lineup during a live stream, the All-Pro receiver decided to test the rookie. He called "Trips TE PA Crossers," a lethal play call in the game that sends all three receivers on deep, layered routes that work to the other side of the field.
Madden McCarthy faked the handoff and launched a pass deep downfield to Jalen Nailor, who caught the ball in stride and ran untouched into the endzone for a 62-yard touchdown.
