The Islanders' injury toll continues to grow.

Defenseman Dennis Seidenberg likely suffered a broken jaw in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Panthers and could be sidelined for a prolonged period, according to Andy Graziano of SNY.

The 35-year-old veteran suffered the injury when he attempted to block a shot in the first period. Seidenberg took a puck to the face just before Panthers forward Kyle Rau netted the first goal of the game. The team had yet to release an update on his status as of Sunday afternoon.
