The struggling Detroit Lions are making a defensive line change, adding Ishmaa'ily Kitchen to their rotation and getting rid of Phillip Hunt to make room.
Paula Pasche of the Oakland Press reported the Lions' changes.
Hunt joined the Lions this season after playing his first three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. The 29-year-old appeared in two games for Detroit in 2015, recording six tackles and one sack.
Kitchen was a member of the Cleveland Browns from 2012-14, appearing in 40 games with 26 tackles. He signed a restricted free-agent tender with them last offseason, but he was released during the second round of cuts in September.
