You can never have enough curling. That was the message from the International Olympic Committee, which on Monday approved the addition of several events for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Fans will be able to see curling mixed doubles, mass start speed skating, an Alpine skiing event between nations and snowboard big air. The four events will have men’s and women’s categories and were chosen because they will increase the number of female participants, are relatively inexpensive to produce and will attract young fans and television viewers.
