Gary Smith has suggested there is more pressure on Inter Miami than his Nashville side heading into Friday's clash at Nissan Stadium.
The expansion teams have reached the MLS playoffs in their first season in the division, with Nashville finishing three places better off than Inter in the Eastern Conference.
A 2-1 win over FC Cincinnati on the final day of the regular season, combined with defeats for Atalanta United and Chicago Fire, saw Diego Alonso's side clinch the final spot for this year's expanded playoffs, which is to be whittled down to 16 teams.
But as Smith pointed out ahead of Friday's single-elimination knockout match, Inter can perhaps consider themselves fortunate to still be in MLS Cup contention.
