Brian Vickers took the green flag for the second time in Tony Stewart's car Thursday night, and this time he had the voice of the injured driver in his ear.
Stewart, who was poised to run his final Daytona 500 on Sunday, will miss the race after suffering a broken back in a sand buggy accident in California on Jan. 31. Vickers was tabbed to drive Stewart's No. 14 car at Daytona. He drove it in the Sprint Unlimited on Saturday night and again Thursday in the second of the Can-Am Duel qualifying races.
