So, according to Yahoo Sports, the Indians catcher has turned to a technology related to the former to protect him from the latter: Kevlar.

After getting nailed downstairs, Indians catcher Yan Gomes has upgraded his cup to something called "The Nutshellz." It is Kevlar-coated.
