WWE veteran Randy Orton took some major shot at the independent wrestling scene earlier this month, and he’s become a meme for independent wrestlers after he mocked the high-risk, high-flying style that many independent wrestlers have gravitated toward. A trio of indy wrestlers fired back over the weekend in their own very entertaining way.
At WrestleCircus Lucha Carnival in Austin, Texas, the team of Sammy Guevara, Shane Strickland and Mr. 450 were about to simultaneously take off from the turnbuckles and dive on their opponents, but Guevara stopped them and shouted “Randy Orton on Twitter!”
The three wrestlers then carefully hopped off the turnbuckles, hit RKOs on their three opponents and did Orton’s signature pose.
