The Houston Dynamo's decision to part ways with Wade Barrett as head coach isn't going over well with everyone at BBVA Compass Stadium.
Dynamo president Chris Canetti confirmed Wednesday that the club will not be retaining its former captain as coach after Barrett took over on an interim basis following the May exit of Owen Coyle. Houston followed a 3-7-2 start under Coyle with a 4-7-11 record during Barrett's tenure.
The club is poised to hire former Chivas USA coach Wilmer Cabrera as coach, according to FourFourTwo.
Houston striker Will Bruin took to Twitter on Thursday to slam the decision to not give Barrett the reins, writing: "Very, very disappointed Wade will not get the head coaching position.
