Martin Truex Jr.’s team says its car failed post-race inspection at Chicagoland Speedway Sunday because Kevin Harvick hit Truex’s car early in the opening race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
Truex led 30 laps early in the race before a tire problem sent him to pit road. He rallied to win the race.
“He just f— door slammed me on the straightaway for no reason,” Truex said during the race on his team's radio.
"Yeah, 10-4. Can’t fix stupid,” his spotter Clayton Hughes responded.
