The Cleveland Browns have released cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu after one season, in which he was unable to play due to a severe knee injury suffered in college.
The Browns confirmed Ekpre-Olomu's release, saying it was due to a "non-football injury," on their official website. Rand Getlin of NFL Network reported Ekpre-Olomu is "[100 percent] healthy and feels certain he'll be playing football at a high level this year."
Many regarded Ekpre-Olomu as one of the nation's top cornerback prospects during his senior season at Oregon in 2014.
Rob Rang of CBS Sports projected Ekpre-Olomu to be a top-15 pick in his initial mock draft in August 2014, calling him "instinctive, physical and a proven standout in a passing conference.
