Bryan Bickell is opening up about his diagnosis with multiple sclerosis for the first time since it was first revealed Friday.
The Hurricanes forward disclosed he woke up one morning with numbness in his shoulder and knew something wasn't right when the discomfort persisted.

"Everybody knows your (own) body and what's normal, what's not normal," Bickell said, via the Chicago Tribune. "This was definitely not normal."
Bickell, who was acquired from the Blackhawks on June 15, has received support from fans, players and coaches from around the league since his diagnosis.
