LSU baseball looks to respond on Saturday after dropping game one at Auburn on Friday. Auburn ended the Tigers' nine-game win streak with an 8-4 victory.
Former LSU pitcher Sam Dutton threw six shutout innings for Auburn. LSU only tallied three extra-base hits, and two didn't come until LSU made a last-ditch effort in the ninth inning. Derek Curiel, Jared Jones, and Daniel Dickinson combined for five strikeouts at the top of LSU's lineup. Ethan Frey and Steven Milam were both hitless.
LSU starter Kade Anderson allowed five earned runs, but the outing was better than his final line suggests.
