Hall of Famer Jo Jo White still remembers the end of the 1974 NBA Finals. White, then a fourth-year guard, had been part of the Celtics’ grinding series win against the Bucks and was a key factor in slowing legendary point guard Oscar Robertson, still a prominent threat despite being 35 years old and in his final season.
At the end of the Celtics’ Game 7 win at Milwaukee County Arena, in which Robertson was held to 2-for-13 shooting and just six points, White took a moment away from the Celtics’ celebration to visit the Bucks’ locker room.
