Indiana Pacers rookie Johnny Furphy set a new career high in scoring Monday on assignment in the G League, leading the Indiana Mad Ants against the Windy City Bulls.
Furphy produced 29 points, nine rebounds, two steals and one assist in the 116-113 loss at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. He finished by shooting 10-of-14 from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range, and 4-of-7 from the free-throw line in 36 minutes.
The 35th pick made six out of his first seven shots from the field, scoring 17 points in the first half alone. He committed only two turnovers and was a minus-six on the court.
