Hope Solo should be finished with U.S. Soccer, but not like this

The suspension of goalkeeper Hope Solo from the U.S women's national team was so poorly conceived, so inelegant, one might be tempted to believe it was arranged by Solo herself.

Among those who work under the U.S. Soccer umbrella, there has been no one, ever, who is more predisposed to reckless behavior and bombastic stunts.

Jessup from A Few Good Men, Solo even defended her boorishness in a statement released Wednesday, after the United States Soccer Federation declared she had been suspended sixth months and her contract terminated: “I could not be the player I am without being the person I am, even when I haven’t made the best choices or said the right things.
