More than 29,000 homes have been selected for upgrading under the latest round of the Home Improvement Programme (HIP), shared the Housing Development Board on 16 Feb.
These flats are located islandwide, including in Choa Chu Kang, Pasir Ris, Tampines and Jurong West, and more than $407 million have been allocated to the upgrading works.
HIP helps flat owners address common maintenance issues such as spalling concrete and ceiling leakage that arise due to wear and tear in older flats, and provide improvements to enhance living conditions of older flats.
There are two types of works under the HIP – essential improvements and optional improvements.
