Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha on Wednesday filed suit against five NYPD officers and the city of New York, stemming from an incident last spring in which he suffered a broken leg and ligament damage during an arrest.
According to ESPN.com, Sefolosha's civil suit — which based on a legal filing last year could reach up to $50 million for material and punitive damages — includes charges of false arrest, excessive force, malicious prosecution and false imprisonment.
