The German FA has given Hamburg striker Bobby Wood a three-match suspension following his sending off against Cologne on Sunday.
Wood was sent off for elbowing Dominique Heintz in the 58th minute of the match, with the score level at 0-0. Following Wood's red card, Cologne netted three times and won the match 3-0.
Wood has four goals in 10 appearances in all competitions for Hamburg this season, including the club's only two goals scored in Bundesliga play. The 23-year-old striker, and his club, have not found the net in Bundesliga action since the second week of the season.
