Nov 15 (Reuters) - Swede Kristoffer Broberg prevailed in a playoff with American Patrick Reed to clinch the BMW Masters title in Shanghai on Sunday.
American Reed (67) and Broberg (68) had earlier finished with identical 72-hole totals of 17-under 271 at the Lake Malaren Golf Club.
But Broberg made a birdie three at the first extra hole to win his maiden European Tour title.
Swede Henrik Stenson (68), Dane Lucas Bjerregaard (70), South Korean An Byeong-hun (70) and overnight Thai leader Thongchai Jaidee (71) finished one shot behind. (Reporting by Amlan Chakraborty in New Delhi, editing by Patrick Johnston)
