The New York Giants have denied quarterback Eli Manning was involved in a scheme to sell fake game-worn memorabilia.

The Giants issued a statement through their attorneys regarding the allegations against Manning:

Kaja Whitehouse and Bruce Golding of the New York Post reported Thursday that Manning played a role in the scheme with court documents showing he sent an email to equipment manager Joe Skiba that stated, "2 helmets that can pass as game used. That is it. Eli."

Whitehouse reported in August 2014 Manning was being sued by three memorabilia collectors after they spent thousands of dollars on items they believed to be used in games.
