New York Giants running back Shane Vereen has a triceps injury that will require surgery and will miss the remainder of the season, the team announced.
Vereen is part of the Giants' running back rotation that includes Rashad Jennings, who has been nursing a thumb injury. Jennings has 102 yards on 31 carries on the season.

Vereen finished Sunday's win against the Cowboys with six carries for 38 yards and three receptions for 23 yards. He has 31 carries on the year for 147 yards and one touchdown.
