Giants promote OC Ben McAdoo to head coach

The New York Giants have announced Ben McAdoo will serve as their 17th head coach.

McAdoo, 38, was the team’s offensive coordinator for the past two seasons, with much success.

“I am thankful to the Mara family, the Tisch family, and Jerry Reese for this opportunity,” McAdoo said on his hiring.

“I have been preparing for this moment my entire professional life, and without the guidance and support of many people, I would not be here right now.”

The team will formally introduce McAdoo as their head coach on Friday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
