CLEVELAND — Like pushing on an open door, the Giants handled the still-winless Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon, with wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. overcoming a thumb injury to catch six passes for 96 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-13 victory, the Giants’ sixth straight win.
The Giants improved to 8-3. They are 2-1 in the N.F.C. East, in which they trail the league-leading Dallas Cowboys (10-1) by two games and are more than a game ahead of the Washington Redskins (6-4-1). They travel to face the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5) next Sunday.
The Browns continued their run into the wrong history books, dropping to 0-12, with a league-worst point differential of minus 155.
