Gehrig Normand has a new home.
The outbound Michigan State basketball transfer announced just past midnight Sunday he has committed to Santa Clara. The native of North Richland, Texas, has three years of eligibility remaining.
A 6-foot-5, 190-pound wing, Normand played 26 minutes in 13 games as a redshirt freshman for the Spartans this winter, averaging two points and going 2-for-6 from 3-point range. He redshirted in 2023-24.
Normand is the third MSU transfer to land at another Division I school since MSU’s 30-7 season ended in the Elite Eight.
