Just weeks ahead of the 2016 Summer Olympics, Rio de Janeiro continues to be a site of unsettling crime and safety issues.
The latest is a video was shot of a gang-related shootout on the Red Line, a 13-mile stretch road known as the "Highway of Terror," which leads to the Olympic Village, according to Mirror, a British publication.
The Red Line is the only highway from Rio's airport to the Olympic village. Other images, from the British publication Daily Mirror, include one of the view from a gunman's perspective. Also shown are motorists hiding behind and under vehicles and behind concrete barriers.
