FSU coach and president address player arrests

Florida State football coach Jimbo Fisher released a lengthy statement Friday evening addressing the recent events surrounding his players.

A few minutes later, FSU President John Thrasher also released a statement and called for an immediate plan to be developed by Fisher and athletics director Stan Wilcox to "help our student-athletes understand the consequences of these kinds of actions."

Earlier Friday, Fisher suspended star tailback Dalvin Cook indefinitely following accusations that he punched a 21-year-old woman in the face several times during an argument outside of a Tallahassee bar last month.

The incident occurred the day before former FSU quarterback De'Andre Johnson, 19, was involved in a physical altercation with a 21-year-old female student at a different bar near the FSU campus.
